甲骨文“又”是一只手，只画三根手指——甲骨文里常用“三”表示多。主笔是手腕连着中指的一长画，另外两指都从这一笔的同一侧分出，所以字形是偏的，不是对称的箭头。它和“止”（脚）容易混：手的两指分在长画的一边，脚的三趾朝同一方向长在合拢的脚掌上。
甲骨文「又」是一隻手，只畫三根手指——甲骨文裡常用「三」表示多。主筆是手腕連著中指的一長畫，另外兩指都從這一筆的同一側分出，所以字形是偏的，不是對稱的箭頭。它和「止」（腳）容易混：手的兩指分在長畫的一邊，腳的三趾朝同一方向長在合攏的腳掌上。
Oracle-bone 又 is a right hand drawn with only three fingers — three commonly stands for "many" in this script. The long stroke carries the wrist and the middle finger, and the other two fingers branch off the same side of it, so the graph is lopsided rather than a symmetrical arrowhead. It is easily mixed up with 止, a foot: a hand's two fingers sit on one side of the long stroke, while a foot's three toes all point the same way above a closed sole.
