jiagu.ca is the project's own website. It has an introduction to the app, the whole 300-character glyph index (with each character's variants, evolution, explanation and sources readable in the browser), a page on what oracle-bone script is, the privacy policy, and this page. The site is plain static HTML: no cookies, no third-party scripts and no analytics.

Choose “Reset progress” on the Profile tab. This cannot be undone. Deleting the app also removes all progress.

There is no account and nothing is uploaded, so progress lives on the device. If you move to a new phone with the operating system's own full backup and restore, your progress normally comes along.

Recognition gives you suggestions, not an answer: it lists the five closest characters with a confidence percentage each. It knows only the 300 characters in the app's library — a character outside the library cannot be recognised, and will simply be matched to whichever of the 300 looks nearest. When nothing scores well the app says so rather than guessing.

To get a better result: photograph one character at a time, put it in the middle of the frame and crop it square; keep the contrast high (dark strokes on a light ground or light strokes on a dark one — rubbing-style images work too); shoot straight on rather than at an angle; avoid camera shake and dim light. The model was trained on the app's own drawings, so printed and on-screen forms are the easiest for it; real rubbings and photographs of objects are harder.

The daily dig is a small goal for the day, in five parts: meet new characters, review, work on the ones you find hard, rebuild a cracked bone, and read an inscription. The targets are set from your own progress. Finish them all and the dig counts as complete: you earn 100 extra XP and unearth an artifact fragment. Six fragments restore one artifact, and all twelve live in the Profile tab.
