This is a sound-and-sense compound, and already one on the bone: 皿 below carries the meaning, 于 above carries the sound. The library's 于 is at glyph_at_001; set them side by side and they are written the same. 說文 says “盂 is a food vessel; from 皿, with 亏 as the sound” — 亏 being another way of writing 于 — and its analysis matches the bone structure exactly. So do not look for a picture in the upper half: it is a sound mark, and only the open bowl below draws anything. In bronze the word is cut on such vessels themselves, as on the late Shang 小室盂, which shows the name was used for this kind of vessel at the time.
