甲骨文“豋”中间是一件高脚食器，也就是“豆”；下面左右各一只手，正把它托举起来。卜辞里“豋”是把新收的谷物或肉食献上去的祭祀。《说文》说它“从廾持肉在豆上”，即两手捧着盛肉的豆，讲的是小篆的结构。
甲骨文「豋」中間是一件高腳食器，也就是「豆」；下面左右各一隻手，正把它托舉起來。卜辭裡「豋」是把新收的穀物或肉食獻上去的祭祀。《說文》說它「从廾持肉在豆上」，即兩手捧著盛肉的豆，講的是小篆的結構。
Oracle-bone 豋 puts a stemmed food vessel — a 豆 — in the middle, with a hand at each side below lifting it. In the divinations 豋 is the rite of presenting newly harvested grain or meat. 《說文》 analyses it as two hands holding meat on a 豆, which describes the small-seal shape.
