“帚”画的是一把扫帚：上端散开的几笔是帚苗，中间一横是捆扎的绳，下面一竖是柄；有的写法在旁边加“女”，有的只写扫帚。卜辞里“妇某”是商王配偶的称号，最有名的是“妇好”。《说文》说“妇，服也，从女持帚，洒扫也”，那是汉代人对小篆字形的解释。
「帚」畫的是一把掃帚：上端散開的幾筆是帚苗，中間一橫是捆紮的繩，下面一豎是柄；有的寫法在旁邊加「女」，有的只寫掃帚。卜辭裡「婦某」是商王配偶的稱號，最有名的是「婦好」。《說文》說「婦，服也，从女持帚，灑掃也」，那是漢代人對小篆字形的解釋。
帚 is a broom: the splayed strokes at the top are its head, the bar across the middle is the binding, and the upright below is the handle. Some forms add 女 beside it and some write the broom alone. In the divination records 婦 X is the title of a consort of the Shang king, the best known being 婦好. The Shuowen's 'a woman holding a broom, hence sweeping' is a Han reading of the seal form.
