The implement on top is the standalone 庚 — a two-pronged fork on a shaft with a box beneath it, the same drawing used for the heavenly stem 庚 — and the piece below is the standalone 口. 說文 divides it cleanly: “唐 is big talk; 口 for sense, 庚 for sound.” On the bones the word turns up where a name belongs: sometimes a place, sometimes a person. Which place and which person are not agreed, so it is left here as a name and taken no further.
